Hi guys. I have a proposal for DAO for further discussion. We are close to get expected airdrop. Sybils and airdrop hunters will definitely sell all or most of obtained tokens. Arbitrum fans like me who are interested in Arbitrum ecosystem and DAO development and sustainability will hold tokens thus participating all DAO events and ecosystem growth.
I would suggest special reward program for loyal users who will not sell airdropped tokens but hold at least more than 50% of received tokens and lock them in pools or put in hold for DAO voting.

Personally I think it is important to reward activity, mainly those are taking time to vote. I believe also that those airdropped tokens should be vested over 1 year.
I think thats great idea
I won’t support a proposal.
I mean staking establishes this already, why would should users receive additional tokens from a loyalty program?

I like the spirit of the proposal however airdrops are used as a marketing tool to encourage users to explore the ecosystem.
Would a loyalty system post airdrop add significant value to the Arbitrum ecosystem?
Maybe, however one could simply explore the ecosystem, receive an airdrop, lock their tokens for additional rewards, and leave without any further contribution to community growth.
OR.........

One could also have a compelling and unique experience that captures their interest and belief that Arbitrum offers something beyond its competitors.
For individuals who farmed this airdrop and in the process realized the immense potential in Arbitrum such as myself. We are here to stay. Not because of the Arbitrum token or a loyalty system if one were to exist, but because we strongly believe in the future and vision of the Arbitrum Foundation and what has been built to date.
In addition an airdrop act as a stimulus check where the user decides if their reward warrants further investment in the project. If the answer is no, then they leave. If the answer is yes, then any sold tokens remain on chain to support it.
In my opinion the Arbitrum token has value from a governance standpoint and its value will be determined by the vision and execution of the Arbitrum foundation, its protocols, developers, and user engagement (not a loyalty program).
While I am not opposed to a loyalty program, if one truly believes Arbitrum will continue to grow then their loyalty of holding their airdrop will be rewarded with a token that increases in value accordingly.
Thanks for supporting!

every single poster here saying this is a good idea is trading against you anon ;)
Super idea,I like it.
I like the idea, but as someone that didn't get the drop for whatever reason, I'd ask that also people that buy tokens and hold them would be included.
Definetely a good idea. I just want to ask something though: Since alot of people are new over here, how do we vote for these proposals?
Regards,
Community development takes time, and there is still a long way to go before the bull market arrives,so do it
Idea is great we have to surely work on it
Hi everybody!
Many thanks everybody for Idea supporting! :hugs:
I've put 95% of airdropped ARB tokens for DAO voting and participated in pilot 2 DAO proposals. With 5 percent of sold tokens I covered expenses :slightly_smiling_face:
For me the most important is to support and develop community and ecosystem.
Together. Today and tomorrow!

I suggest that one reward should not be attached with too many conditions, but it can be divided into multiple rewards. For example: always hold the obtained tokens (or hold 50%); participate in voting; as for pledge, I think it should be determined by market interest rates.
Very interesting idea I won't sell my ARBs, let's make the arbitrum community stronger :правая рука:leftwards_hand: :поднятые руки:
TreasureDAO model could be simulated here. I agree with previous commenters.
this should be considered if ever there is another reward coming
i lke this ! is a good ideea

nice proposal,
unfortunate i wont agree with everything you've said because this makes no sense '' hold at least more than 50% of received token ''

Because if i send my arbitrum tokens to an exchange or swap like uniswap/1inch/sushi or other protocols to trade my token and take advantage of the situation. because the high network usage and fee's during the first few hours of the token distribution. and later i might want to send them back to the original wallet.
everyone that is being part of the arbitrum foundation should be able to do this.
Greetings vic369.arb
while this is interesting, I think it should also include those that didn't get the drop and have become active members after the drop
Great idea ! Would be cool if we got staking system.
Hello guys,
I STRONGLY disagree. Can you imagine Satoshi Nakamoto choosing to give more btc to hodlers for "long term growth" ? It would have killed Bitcoin. Same for Arbitrum : it makes no sens, and would involve so many issues we can't predict right now (inflation, gov centralisation...) Morever, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't change anything : bounty hunters would have to choose between jumping to another ecosystem, or staying on Arbitrum a little bit longer. In both cases, they would finally vanished.

If you believe in Arbitrum, you don't have to ask for more rewards and gov power. I see this as a begging for more free money to dump in the futur, to be honest. You believe in an ecosystem ? Just use it, build on it and promote it. You don't need to turn it into a reward factory to make Arbitrum attractive.
Great idea man. Think certain level of loyalty program / tasks could definitely help to increase the stickiness of normal users. Also it’s vital to have special measures to focus contributors and builders in the ecosystem. They are the back bones of all of these
As much as I wished I got the airdrop, which I didn't. I can understand the feeling of free money that people wanna make before the normal rally.
I have bought some tokens and ready to lock for the future, that's because I believe in the future of this project.
So, having a reward for real believers of the project sounds good and cool. I am in support.
I would suggest special reward program for loyal users who will not sell airdropped tokens but hold at least more than 50% of received tokens and lock them in pools or put in hold for DAO voting.
Whales will save weak hands from tokens. What's the use. Financially literate and risk-averse leave no more than 25% to vote
Thats a great idea how do i use my token to vote here hahah
I would not incentivize holding the token. I would rather do something similar as OP did
As currently there is sell pressure in market we have to take some step to preserve the value
Idea is great we have to surely work on it

I like this idea. I think it would be helpful if there was some sort of additional loyalty program parameter if you are providing LP and hold 50% or more of your airdropped tokens as well. You can see on the arbitrum website main page that LPing was a criteria for the airdrop to begin with :). https://arbitrum.foundation
I like the greater than 50% of drop idea
It's not a question of who sells and who doesn't: HODLs will make money anyway. If anyone should be encouraged now, it's the developers. And HODL activity should simply be taken into account and then, with a complete database, develop and adopt criteria. Otherwise, we will get rid of bounty-hunters, but create new ones.
I decide not to sell my ARB after seeing this proposal. Thinking bout translate it back to my wallet also
Nice one idea I also have the same goal
While the Arbitrum loyalty program proposal may seem appealing to those invested in the long-term growth of the Arbitrum ecosystem, it is essential to consider the potential challenges and drawbacks of such a program like
Centralization Risks: Rewarding users who hold and lock their tokens could inadvertently create a centralized system.

Centralization Risks: Rewarding users who hold and lock their tokens could inadvertently create a centralized system.
Incentive Imbalance: Offering additional rewards to loyal users could create an imbalance in incentives. This may deter new users from participating in the ecosystem, as they may feel disadvantaged in comparison to existing users who are receiving additional benefits.
Market Manipulation: A loyalty program that rewards users based on their token holding behavior might encourage market manipulation. Some users may exploit the program to maximize their rewards while undermining the project's long-term success and stability.
Reduced Liquidity: Locking a significant amount of tokens in pools or for DAO voting purposes might result in reduced liquidity for the Arbitrum token. This reduced liquidity could negatively impact the token's value and overall ecosystem stability.
Disincentivizing Use: The loyalty program could inadvertently discourage users from utilizing the Arbitrum ecosystem to its full potential. By incentivizing users to hold onto their tokens, they may be less likely to engage in transactions or other activities that could benefit the ecosystem.
Complexity: Implementing a loyalty program with specific rules and requirements could add unnecessary complexity to the Arbitrum ecosystem. This added complexity might be a barrier to entry for new users, deterring them from participating in the project.
Short-term Focus: The proposed loyalty program might not be a sustainable solution to address Sybil attacks and airdrop hunters. It may provide temporary stability but could create long-term issues by discouraging new users from joining and creating a centralized decision-making process.
While the Arbitrum loyalty program proposal has the best intentions in mind, it is essential to consider the potential issues and long-term implications before implementing such a program. It is crucial to find a balance that encourages long-term growth and stability while maintaining an inclusive and decentralized ecosystem.
This proposal sounds very good and will be very good if implemented as @akharito mentioned most airdrop holder will sell 100% of airdrop
Sounds intreating! but how do you want to distinguish the two groups ?
This Will be great opportunity for DAO growth and especially Arbitrum Ecosystem
I also think that :100: :100: :100:
good dao is goddsuggest special reward program for loyal users who will not sell airdropped tokens but hold at least more than 50% of received tokens and lock them in pools or put in hold for DAO voting.
I like this idea as well and rewards
I like this idea as well. Also consider higher rewards for higher lock periods. Similar to what $magic did.
Penso que é uma grande ideia, seguindo essa linha de raciocínio conseguimos não vulgarizar o Token podemos fazer com ela alcance valores altos no mercado, porque quando há muita procura e pouca oferta ocorre uma maior valorização dos produtos
I support your idea. Considering the fact that more than 50% of tokens are sold after an initial airdrop, so with a possibility to stake ARB with hire rates would be great reward.
Great idea @akharito ! I also think a form of incentive would be great to keep as many people in the ecosystem as possible. The airdrop will have a great reach and hopefully a staking pool or reward based system can help converting some / if not many of them into active DAO members
The biggest issue at present is AIP1 in its current form. We need, as a community, to actively participate in AIP1's discussion. Please, anyone reading this, you NEED to read AIP1 and think about what it entails, its premise and the possible consequences of its passage. It's currently going to pass and there probably isn't enough tokens left on-chain at snapshot to stop it. I'm not telling you all how to vote, but if you don't vote, it's not a DAO anyway - it's just a VC game....this allocation to the as-yet-uncreated Aribtrum Foundation would be 1000x the size of the allocation given to Uniswap's foundation for governance granting. We're talking about 700,000,000 ARB here. Please, go read the proposal.

I believe the essence of airdrop to users, in this case Arbitrum users, are
to reward users who have been with the project for long and who have repeatedly used the products and platform, and somewhat provided feedback that had helped the project achieved it's goals. So it will be counterproductive for a project, in my opinion, to dictate how those they rewarded use their rewards.
to avail users with mean of partaking in the project's future through decentralization/governance. I believe this in itself is an incentive for anyone to want to be part of. Arbitrum is big!

While there is nothing wrong in asking for more incentives that might bring/attract more people to partake in governance, we shouldn't dictate how someone decides to spend or use his/her airdrop.
So for that those reasons, I will not be supporting this proposal:
Mind you, I am a delegate 🤗 because I delegated my token to myself so I have a voice.

can i at least put them into single sided bridge LPs?
I do not support giving people more Arb simply because they didn't sell it. Let's see how governance shakes out over the next few months and go from there.
If this proposal were to ever make it to the polls, I would strongly oppose it. Firstly, it comes across as purely motivated by greed. Moreover, it fails to align with the core objectives of Arbitrum. The primary goal of Arbitrum is to enhance the scalability, usability, and accessibility of the Ethereum network for a diverse range of users and use cases. Turning it into a money printer would only inflate its value and empower a select few, further concentrating voting power among whales.
